Here are a couple recipes for homemade treats for your pets! Just remember, some pets are sensitive to certain foods and it is always best to consult your local veterinarian before making changes or additions to your pet's diet.
Tuna Tidbits
6 ounce can of tuna
1/4 c. water drained from tuna
3 T cooked egg whites, chopped
1/4 c. cornmeal
1/2 c. whole wheat flour
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine tuna, egg white and water. Add cornmeal and flour and blend to form a dough. Knead into a ball and roll to 1/4 inch thick.
Cut into one-inch sized pieces. Bake at 350 F for 20 minutes. Makes 12 cookies.
Eat Your Veggies! Dog Biscuits
2 1/2 c. flour
3/4 c. powdered milk
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 TBSP brown sugar
3/4 c. vegetable broth
1/2 c. carrots
1 egg
Directions:
Preheat you oven to 300 degrees. Place all of the ingredients into a bowl and mix well.
Roll out the dough until it’s about 1/4 inches thick. Cut the dough into cute shapes with cookie cutters or use your pizza cutter to cut into strips.
Bake for about 30 min.
Favorite Cat Treat Cookies

1 c. whole wheat flour
1/4 c. soy flour
1 1/2 tsp dried catnip
1 egg
1/3 c. milk or cat mild substitute e.g. KMR
2 T wheat germ
1/3 c. powdered milk
1 T unsulfurated molasses
2 T butter or vegetable oil
Directions:
Mix the dry ingredients together and add the molasses, egg, oil and milk. Roll out and cut into small bit sized pieces. Bake for 20 minutes at 350° F.
Let cool and store in a sealed container.

Meaty Dog Biscuits
2 3/4 c. whole wheat flour
1/2 c. powdered milk
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
6 tbsp. vegetable oil
8-10 tbsp. water
2 jars of strained baby food (beef, chicken, or lamb)
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350.
In a mixing bowl, mix all of the ingredients. Knead the dough for about 3 minutes and roll it out until it’s about an inch thick.
Here’s the part where you break out the cute bone shaped cookie cutters! Or you can use a pizza cutter to cut the dough into the desired size.
Bake the biscuits for 20-25 min. on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Makes about 24 biscuits.
